Frequently Asked Questions

What happens after I’ve submitted my resume?

The recruitment team reviews submitted resumes, and the shortlisted applicants are contacted for further evaluation. All shortlisted applicants undergo a technical interview with our technical experts. Finally, an independent agency conducts a detailed background check on candidates of interest. The final selections are made and an H1-B application is made for selected candidates for the lottery.

How long does the H1-B lottery process take?

The initial application deadline for the lottery is March 18th 2022, selected candidates will be notified by March 31st 2022.

Can I bring my family members with me to the US if my H1-B visa petition gets approved?

Yes, you can bring your family members to the US on an H4 dependent visa. They can come along with you or at a later date, if you so prefer.

If my H1-B does not get picked, what happens next? How can I continue to work with Agilysis?

There are multiple lottery selections that happen. If your H1-B registration is not selected in the first round, it could be selected in the next two rounds. Additionally, we can hire you in India and apply for the H1-B visa next year or consider an L1 Visa petition for you.

What are the qualifications for a H1-B visa?

-Have a US Bachelor’s degree or higher in the area of your specialty occupation from an accredited institution; or

-Hold a foreign degree that is the equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s or higher degree required by the specialty occupation from an accredited college or university; or

-Have experience through positions held in your specialty occupation equivalent to the completion of such degree.

How long can one stay on a H1-B visa in the United States?

As an H-1B specialty occupation worker, you may be admitted for a period of up to three years. Your time period may be extended, but generally cannot go beyond a total of six years.

How many days can one stay outside USA with an active H1-B visa?

There is no limit to the amount of time that you can remain outside the US with your H-1B visa.
